We got some gear stolen from our car in downtown Vegas. It sucks, watch your stuff. If anybody gets an offer to buy some cheap gear while their in the area, I'd like to know. Thanks

It was the last morning I was out there. Thanks though - I'm back in NY now. Had a great time, so it wasn't a total bummer by any means.

Steve,
Sorry to hear about your gear. Red Rocks is a great place to go but Las Vegas can really suck! Are you able to recover any of the stuff with insurance?

A climber's car was broken into on the side of the highway near the entrance to the loop road on Monday. Reports indicate that guidebooks were stolen that were in a paper bag, but little else.

Watch E-bay. People are dumb F'ers.
Your homeowner's policy likely includes coverage for anything stolen, provided you have a police report.

If some of it turns up on Ebay, what next? Do I just buy it back or is there a channel to recover stolen gear? Any experience with this?
