I've posted a few comments in the forums and noticed that they appear differently after a few hours. Specifically, I often choose not to use the "shift" key, but when I check those comments later, they've been capitalized for me. I have even had text removed and emoticons changed. Are the mods doing this prettying up for me, or is this an automatic process, and what are the rules?

Hi Scott,

As Forum Moderator, I've been fixing spelling errors, capitalization, punctuation, and grammar. I've just been asked by the Site Landlord to leave all forum posts alone, so now my job is a lot easier! :-)

There are some people I work with that would probably pay for that level of service. Heck, I might pay for it for them. :) Good to know I'm not just going senile early..

What's the problem with having your grammar corrected? There were enough posts on CB.com with poor spelling. Sometimes posts that are well intentioned end up looking crappy simply because of poor English. It just seems more professional when things are done properly. How 'bout that new "Spell Check" button?!?!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
