Description Suggest change

A group of spires northwest of the Weasel formation on the north side of Cane Wash. We named the area Dead Man's Spires as a route and a couple of attempted old routes were found on these spires. As these climbers are unknown we are assuming they have passed on!!!

Getting There Suggest change

Dead Mans Spires lie about 3/4 miles northwest of the Weasel formation. There are several spires in this area, one other than Resurrection Spire has a route on it put up possibly in the 80's? Also a couple of failed attempts have been found. From the San Rafael River bridge drive south for about 2.2 miles to a right turn with a cattle guard on Oil Flat Rd. Go 1.0 mile to a Y junction, take the right fork, go 1.6 miles to another Y junction, take the right fork(Mexican Sweeps Road) and follow this for 3.7 miles to Cane Wash. Turn left up Cane Wash for 3 miles to a small wash on the right below the towers. Drive up this to camp sites. Recommend 4x4.
