High Desert Bouldering:

"We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.” (Hunter S. Thompson) Insanity is the muse of the desert. Disillusion and dehydration can lead one to do the craziest of things. However, the question one must ask their self is “Am I crazy for posting this or are you for reading it?”

For those of you brave enough to call this area home, I both pity and admire you. Sailing through the barren sea of choss can be hopelessly depressing, but do not lose faith! I too once drifted across these parts and have managed to find a gem or two in the process. However, it should go without saying that these areas are still in fact choss.

My aim for this project is to share areas that have been shown to me, ones which I have found, and to hopefully learn of some new ones in the process. None of these areas are destination worthy, but all can provide hours of choss filled enchantment. In my experience, this is just what the High Desert Boulderer needs.
