| I have two Black Diamond Wiz Kid Harnesses (very good shape - used, but used lightly) free to a good home. These are great harnesses for kids who have outgrown a full body harness. Location: Denver, CO. These are gone. | FLAG |

| Step 1- stack two nuts Step 2- rig single strand rappel off the brown nut(downward pull nut) Step 3- rig pull strand on the pushed through cable of the upside down nut Step 4- make peace with god and tell your partner to apologise to your family for you stupidity Step 5- rappel "safely" to the ground or your next belay Step 6- pull retrieval line and the nut on the right pulls out and your whole kit falls to the ground some old timer showed me this and said this was how they "always" did it back in the day! YMWY PS don't ever try this | FLAG |

YMWY PS don't ever try this Did some old timer actually show you this trick? Have you personally used this method? I ask because you point this out in bold, yet post a photo of what looks to be an attempt of this anchor behind a refrigerator. I realize this may resemble a solid option in your mind, but I have never heard of this rappel anchor before. Anyone else care to chime in on this dubious anchor? | FLAG |

| well, I exclusively rappel using this technique when i'm in the "creek", cuz ya never know when that 3 bolt anchor on top of your favorite classic crack is going to blow, and that's not the back of my fridge that's "Great White Book" on Stately Pleasure Dome in Tuolumne. The pull an pray method as I like to call it was definitely the way "every one""always" did it until some one came up with the 2 bolt anchor. Fuck man, read a book! But seriously, a man in his 60's explained this system to me and seemed 100% serious when he told me he used to use this system regularly. Not that I think this was or ever would be a technique the vast majority of climbers, from any time period, would consider safe. I think Jeremy missed the point of my original post. | FLAG |

| I'm not so sure its a bad idea. What if you built 3 of these nut stacking anchors. Equilized all three with a trango alpine anchor, and had seperate pull lines for the three upsidedown nuts. Do you think you could get down from your refridgerator then? I think I will go practice this at the top of a bolted sport route, just as a simulation for the real deal in the kitchen. (What ever it takes to not have to use a leaver biner.) More to come. Kevin | FLAG |

| Hello everyone, I thought I might pass these onto someone who might bring them back to life and use them. Feel free to email me at ericksonc@my.uwstout.edu with questions.
I am uncertain of the size, but I'd guess they are a size 8.5 US or a 39.5 EU. If you are able to pick these up in Menomonie they are all yours otherwise send me $10 and I will send them to you. Charles | FLAG |

| I've got a couple things that I'm looking to get rid of. They're in Lafayette, CO; I'll deliver them to Boulder, Broomfield or Louisville. You'll have to make it to me if you don't live/work in those areas. If you are interested in anything, please PM me. I most likely will not check back on this thread in the near future. 1) An old Marmot Precip jacket that has lost most of its waterproof liner near wear the hood meets the rest of the jacket. This would probably be best for chopping up to make waterproof patches for those DIYers. Or it could be a good windbreaker. Men's small. 2) An old Pur filter. I honestly don't remember the name of it. I've had it for more than ten years. 3) An old Lowe Alpine Triple-point ceramic jacket. I've had this jacket for a long time and almost hate to give it up. I used to backpack with this jacket extensively in my teens. But it's pretty bomber and probably still (mostly) waterproof. Men's small. | FLAG |

| A while back there was a thread where somebody was looking for donated gear to send to some foreign country (korea maybe?) because climbers there were sharing a few scarce pieces of beat up gear. Anybody remember the thread or some key words that will help me find it? I've looked, I just can't remember the right key words to bring it up. I drank away a lot of brain cells. It was worth it. | FLAG |
