Heading up north for a few days around New Years, and just wanted to see if it was worth it to bring the gear or if we should just bring the boards if there is "significant snow". I was reading that the pit has some places that are relatively accessible when there is snow, but it didnt seem like there were too many. Anyone have any suggestions for any sport or bouldering locations up there if the snow does hit?

Thanks!!!

Sedona. As close for us up here as a drive up Lemmon is for those in the old pueblo. Check out the new bloom guide, tons of stuff good for winter, specially if you bring gear

Does anybody know if jacks canyon or the pit are climbable right now?

If not, how long after a snow storm like this, do they usually take to dry up?

They are fine to climb. Unfortunately the melting snow will make the road into Jacks a mess.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
