Comments: End of April: Arrived at the base at noon. Climbed P1 in the shade, the rest in the warm direct sunshine. You will be glad you packed 3 C2's for the start of P2.

P3 WAS UTTERLY AMAZING!!!

Placed a C2, 3 and 3.5 for the P3 belay. Placed another C3 and 4 in the short chimney section at the start of P4. Four raps with a 70 meter rope. The rappels were some of the most engaging I've done in 30+ years of climbing.

Sustained climbing, multiple cruxes, good pro, lots of exposure. Classi... more >>

Comments: Agreed. In my thirty+ years of climbing these were the scariest, most exposed rappels I've ever done!

Comments: Knob tie-off is optional and located on the slab en route to the anchor. The knob in question is just so big and fat and perfect it begs to be slung.

Comments: This is a SWEET climb! Juggy moves at the start. Thin and edgy to the top. The crux is a committing move on a thin edge. My new Gorge favorite!

Comments: I believe this route was put up by Pete Taketa in the early 90's. Although I had done a handful of 12a's at the time it took me five weeks of effort to actually lead this route with no falls. I remember it to be sharp with thin technical moves.

Comments: What an amazingly fun route! It's long, semi-steep (at least for 5.7), and exposed. My new favorite BCC date climb.

Comments: August 2008 -- Steer clear of the bee's nest, located under a small overhang, 2/3 of the way up and left of the bolt.

Comments: A WAY fun route, with a steep, juggy finish, that's over-rated in difficulty (5.9-ish?) and under-rated in stars.

Comments: Agree with above comment. WAY fun route -- diverse and exposed climbing. Stepping up to the anchors was wild. If you can find it, do it!

Comments: Beware the seam of loose rock near the top of the route.
