Comments: But the fact still remains that the climb was fine as it was... if you want safety guaranteed, stay home...

Comments: I can't believe that it has taken this long to get this route on mtn project. It will be interesting to see if it increases traffic on the route. The Price of Fear is quite fun and not as bad as the name suggests...

Comments: this part of the corner is not 5.9. it is just fun crack climbing. if you are not a proficient crack climber it will feel harder than it really is.

Comments: just finish this route with the Price of Fear pitch, you won't be disappointed. and if you were looking for a little more full value climbing on super pooper, this is the way to top out. i don't understand why folks still go the original way...

Comments: how old is this picture? the following rule has been in force for quite some time now.

They [pets] must be on a leash at all times and cannot be more than 100 feet from a road, picnic area, or campground; they are prohibited from trails,

Comments: although it is not often done, it is a smart idea to give all pins a good hammering before falling on them. those on tahquitz go through tremendous temperature/ weather changes throughout the year and tend to need a good beating, especially after winter.

if planning on doing routes like this, or etude, its a good idea to carry a hammer up the hill...

not sure on the bolting idea. green arch should definitely retain as much of its original flavor as possible. no riff-raff should be climbing... more >>

Comments: this is a good route that i use to do whenever in the area. last time there, the 2 bolts were super sketchy! and in no way would you want to fall from above the 2nd bolt.

but if the old bolts were replaced, it is "equipped" just fine; just happens to not be another clip up. with thought and care White Rabbit can be quite fun to climb...

definitely not a bomb! unless of course you expect bolts every 5 feet.

Comments: Agreed!!! definitely another great route that has fallen into obscurity. don't cheat yourself though, do the 10c roof. Totally pumper, and totally protectable!

going for the bolt on the 10d slab section is as mschlocker says,No way to cheat through this!

and, if I climbed venturi effect without summitting the hulk, did i in fact climb venturi...

Comments: this is a really fun route. it looks like you could just run up the initial slab, but it becomes much harder and better than it looks from below. do the traverse to the other route and finish up clipping more bolts. real, honest, good fun... imho...

Comments: this does seem like a different way to do the climb. with a 60m, you can combine the first two pitches, which makes for a nice belay ontop of the 5.8 cracks... i have not seen too many parties start SP from any other ledge than the one shown in photo.

Comments: This looks like The Step to me. You can see the shrub up about 3o-40 ft where it is recommended to belay for the 2nd pitch... don't belay there, just combine pitches 1 and 2...

Comments: i have been climbing and bouldering here for over 15 or so years. this is a really fun area that will always be off the map. but, please treat this area with absolute respect. There is a bunch of private property all over garner valley, and there are plenty of gray areas with access. so, be quiet, clean, and stealth. oh, and have fun!!!
