Comments: Sent it last week, and climbed it two more times that day to see how I felt about its true difficulty. Really nice climbing after the hard start; I was surprised at how enjoyable a route it is. I don't boulder so I can't comment on the difficulty of the start on that scale, but I definitely recommend trying this route with a static rope (to avoid hitting the rocks below when attempting the opening moves).

Comments: Well said, Will and Jack. The cliff has in the past month seen yet more [unnecessary] bolting and [unsightly] chopping, when all it really needs is cleaning. Thanks to those who have been working on removing the graffiti, and have left wire brushes and cleaning supplies hidden near the cliff for others to contribute to the effort to restore it to the condition that has made it an enjoyable, little travelled traditional and toprope climbing spot for fifty years. I pledge to do my part in ensuring... more >>

Comments: I was introduced to this route as a 5.11- that moves right at the roof rather than pulling it (labelled as a variation in this route's picture). Not sure of its name; does anyone know?

Comments: This route has been led and is named Satan's Ceiling. It has traditionally been rated 5.10d but I'll concede that pulling the roof feels harder than that.

Comments: Morgan, when did Matt Wilder climb this route? I am not sure who the first ascensionist is, but I know that it was repeated in 1991 and already had a name, Late For Supper. It was considered 5.11+/5.12- at the time.

Comments: This route has a name, Ground Effect. Not sure who first led it, but will do my best to find out. It's a stout lead at 5.10+, but the pro is there (I've led it and know several others who have). There is only one loose rock on the route, which someone has plastered with a large X. It is lodged, will bear weight, and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. A beautiful route.
