More information:
I work for myself so I schedule my work around climbing. I'm married and my husband is not a climber, so I prefer to climb during the weekday when my absence is not as noticeable. Since I have to schedule work around climbing, I plan my calendar a week to two weeks ahead of time; no spontaneous climbing trips.

Safety is my top priority and I ask that my climbing partners be safety oriented and be respectful when I raise safety concerns or back off from a climb when conditions may be unsafe. Helmet is a must and a hand should always be on the brake end of the rope regardless of the belay device used. I completed the SCMA Rock Climbing Safety Skills Course (safety and self-rescue training) in April 2014 and I'm Wilderness First Aid certified until February 2015.

I began bouldering indoors regularly since 2008, top roping pretty consistently since 2011 both indoors and out, and leading sport outdoors since June 2012 (about two to three days a week, four to six months per year). I took a series of sport lead classes at the Upland Hangar 18 in January 2012. I usually belay with a Cinch but I am also familiar with using the ATC Guide. I started to second some trad routes since June 2013.

For sport, I lead confidently in the 5.9 range and I can usually finish a 5.10a lead with a few tries at the crux. I can follow up to 5.10c; up to 5.10d (maybe even 5.11a) with assistance from my belayer. I'm always happy to belay a partner on harder routes.

For trad I can follow up to about 5.7, although a purist crack climber would be horrified by how I manage to climb most finger and hand cracks as liebacks, and I love chimneys.
