Comments: On removing Tricams:

If the Tricam is placed actively, and has been set (or fallen on) to the extent that mere finger wiggles are insufficient, the easiest way to remove it is often to use your nut tool:

- In a horizontal placement, hook the nose of your nut tool behind the tricam's fulcrum/nose/stinger, and pull outwards (toward you).

Comments: Fun route. For those who'd like some extra security, I like to set up a fixed line, using a few available pieces of pro in the crack. There are a few solid (not monolithic) trees at the top. It is easy to set up rappel down the face immediately to the left of the route, using a stout pine tree.

Comments: If you are in Louisville and are interested in a good hike ending with a few boulders with interesting features, and the sense of adventure, check these out.

If you are more than an hour away and are interested in a high concentration of established problems, level trails, short approaches, and lots of people around to admire your shirtless struggle, this area is not for you.
