Comments: It also helps if you look at the picture in Dane's book. The canyon you ascend is pictured; it helped us find it.

Comments: Cruising crags, looking for gear to steal? What the F#@% is going on? I hope he got his ass kicked. Perhaps he will re-think lifting racks in the future.... No pun intended.

Comments: That's some bomber sandstone; except for those two that pulled. Looks like one of the hangers failed as well. I wonder how much force was applied before fail. Was a load-cell used?

Comments: Now, I am curious. Is this a joke? I am confused because the helmet is fairly new. However, the rest of the gear looks like archaic, relics. I can guess the era of manufacture based on color scheme, I would say none of that gear was made past 1987; should be retired based on the colors (safety reasons second).

Comments: Don't underestimate their terrible yet equally funny antics. I was camping up the road at a campsite. After finding some fungus growing behind my tent... the night plan became clear. After a long night of climbing/tripping around Withering-Height's (I was told the Dalai Lama considered this a spiritual center of the world). I returned to what I thought was snow in a localized area of my campsite... Weird!! After an interesting yet well deserved sleep. I awoke the next afternoon to 3 rolls, dou... more >>

Comments: A friend and I were thinking of hitting Treasure Falls and others in the area. We had heard a lot of these climbs are under snow loaded bowls. Is this true? What kind of slide potential is seen on these?

Comments: Ah man that sucks. I was planning on doing some dirt-boarding. There must be some access issues, those punk kids skating on washboard roads. It really wears the road out. HA good pic. Only in New Mexico!!

Comments: There is a fun route on sunshine wall called post moderate, it's 5.9 with 17 or so bolts but you can traverse over to some chains and do it with one rope and eight or nine, if not bring two for full rap. its a great warmup but gets really hot. The name is aptly given, do it on a day when its overcast .
