Comments: I hate to say because it sounds like more than a few folks like this route but, I think it's serious mank. Not asthetic at all. Crap rock, mediocre gear, and to make it all worse, it's surrounded by great looking routes.
I'm glad some others have enjoyed it though.

Comments: FUN, just damn fun. I'll admit though. We climbed the left of the two cracks at the top and it seemed like .10a to me. Machts Nichts on the grade though. If you've got the small pro for the route, DO THIS ROUTE!.

Comments: This and Flakes of Wrath are by and far the best routes I've found on Potash. Talk about a blast of a route with great gear. It's not often a slug like myself get's to pull 6ft. roofs on trad gear(or any kind of gear for that matter!). I found a wicked solid kneebar just under the roof which conveniently blocked me from getting any good jams in the roof section. Had to hang on piece and reset. It went right away after I discombobulated myself.

Comments: I found a piece of gear hanging from a tree at the base today. If you can identify it, I'll gladly return it asap.

Comments: A really fun route which is mostly easier than WI3. I've been up there a few times over the past couple of years now and have learned a few lessons. 1. Bring a belay jacket. The wind gets moving up there and it gets cold while your waiting around or belaying. 2. This is a very popular route and more so on the weekends. The gully flushes every bit of debris right down to the bottom so set up accordingly and don't get angry with the folks above you. This is inherent to this type of route. 3. In ve... more >>

Comments: Did this at the end of June '06. I agree with the previous post as for dropping in from the ridge. We bivied in the grass/gravel in the trees before climbing out the next day. It's a spectacular place to spend the night right above town. With our spare time the first day we did a bit of cragging on the wall on the south side of the "cirque". There is quite a bit of alpine 5.fun to be had up there with an out there feeling to it.
On the "Y", itself we really took our time and spent a lot of time ... more >>

Comments: A friend and I did this route last summer. He lead the hard pitches as they're above my ability level. It was an absolute blast! This is a must do route; especially if you've not climbed here before.
