Comments: Decent Climb, but protection is not obvious and the crux moves were tricky to protect. Novice leaders at the grade should think about TRing before placing pro on lead.

Comments: Good line - Protection not always obvious, used a #1 BD out to the right with a 4' runner to protect the final moves to hangers.

Comments: If you average the moves in between the third and fourth bolt (5.9ish) with the rest of the climb (5.5ish) you get a 5.8 - Fun route wish it had more 5.8ish moves.

Comments: Climbed the Overflow/JLI on 03.07.09
The Cave on the left Side of the Flow has formed into a steep curtain (WI3+) and the ice was completely leadable.
The right hand side has thinned considerably and is very pocketed from so many steps - think surface of a golf ball.

Comments: Climbed the Scottish Gully/Bowling Alley on 01.03.09. The ice was blue and thick, but was brittle in sections. The curtain to the right of the gully was well traveled and very stepped out, but still very climbable.

Comments: So far I have climbed this route three times - Each time proceeding a different way up the gully. I am not sure that the route's description gives it enough credit. I have been able to consistently place enough protection on each of the pitches...The belays are good and there are several trees, ledges and adequate placements to construct safe anchors. The best way to access the ridge is at the top of the gully where the ground meets. Great moves from a solid belay (2 trees) allow you to access t... more >>
