Comments: You can also just park at the end of Goodyear Ave in Melrose and walk in. You'll see it after about 1 minute of hiking the white blazed cascade trail.

Comments: I've been exploring the Black and White rocks area as well as crags and boulders in Melrose recently. Just walking around the Middlesex Fells in the B&W vicinity, I'm finding numerous boulder problems and a short route here and there that aren't listed anywhere that I can tell. Also, on the other side of Fellsway East near Boojum Rock extending all the way over to the Flynn Rink area, I walked past at least a dozen decent looking problems. Comments: I did some exploring around Crag 6 and the Cascade today. I also did some exploring on other side of Fellsway East near Boojum Rock. I think a lot of folks write this place off, but there are a lot of boulders in these woods! In the future months, I'll see if I can get some photos, locations, and descriptions to what I find.

Comments: Great climb! Please don't bolt this too. That little cliff can be protected with pads. This particular crux can be protected with one well placed piece near the top of the crack.

Comments: I was the steward for Mt. Ann for the Trustees a few years back. (I think I said it was Greenbelt land in another thread, but you are correct, it is Trustee land). The access to that park was closed when they removed a rest stop on Rte. 128 that provided access. You can see the empty space where it was on the highway. Once this rest stop was removed, access was gone. It had nothing to do with the man at the end of New Way Lane. The gate and road that goes to Dykes Pond are owned by the city. I s... more >>
