Comments: This doesn't seem like a good beginner lead to me at all. No pro for the first 20-30 ft that you have to run it out before you find the crack.

Comments: The trail is well-cairned right now. Also, to get to the start of the trail: take Rampart Road towards Devils Head, then when you get to a split where Devil's Head campground/fire tower are one way you will need to head (right) down the other road for ~0.8 miles until you see the radio towers on the right side.

Comments: We tried to climb Kor's Flake but ended up on this for the first pitch. Both are chimneys with a chockstone in them at about the same size and very close to each other. I'd also say 5.9 for the chimney, but I was able to find gear when I needed it mostly.

Comments: Fun route with good exposure, sometimes there are bees in the crack right above the start of the traverse.

Comments: The crux is getting off the ground. If you go far right once you reach the bush level, you can pull up and over that little roof area. It's pretty fun, probably a little harder. Also, the climb is possible to protect naturally with small gear.

Comments: Pitch 2 is totally the business. Its the weird size between fingers and thin hands and I'd say the bottom half is the crux.

Comments: Here is an Idea:
Some one said that the Rings last a lot longer than the Links because they distribute the wear around it. So, wouldn't it be a good idea to put a ring on the end of a quick link? That way they ring can just be replaced when it gets worn. And the rings are cheaper too.
