Comments: There is a short, steeper, thin climb to the far climber's left of this picture. Walk up a short snow ramp climb 15 feet of fun warmup.

Comments: No, the guy who placed the new anchor bolts at the top of Snuggles did not place anything at top of fall crack. Enjoy!

Comments: To clarify, any rescue performed on Pike's Peak by the Mountain Rescue Association team entrusted to provide rescue services in El Paso County (where most of the climbing on Pikes Peak lies) will be free.

El Paso County Search and Rescue is a non profit, 100% volunteer organization. We have zero paid staff members. There is never a charge for any services we render.

No member team of the Mountain Rescue Association will charge for their services.

Comments: Not all teams in Colorado are accredited, or even associate, Mountain Rescue Association teams. Most of the main areas have them, but also if you are hurt in a national forest, it may well be USFS personnel coming to get you.
MRA teams, even though they are all volunteer, they undergo an fairly extensive evalaution to wear the patch. They also can typically field 20 or more people for a rescue, which is vital, and is something USFS or a fire district typically cannot do.
