Comments: There is no FA on this boulder, because it's not a boulder. The problem is Fleshfest, and it was done by Herm Feissner.

Comments: I did a left sit that I called the Freezer. Reach-dependent V7-9. This is not the same as the Fridge, which is the right start. I added my start after the Fridge was done. In terms of the FA on the Fridge I made an ascent of the boulder in mid Jan 2010, and am pretty sure it was done before.

Comments: The rock quality on PC while very solid is also VERY sharp. I don't think 4 star problems can be very sharp. This bloc is not a world class boulder. 2 stars.

Comments: I don't really understand why this boulder only gets one star. The rock is good, the holds are cool, the movement is cool... is it just because it outrageously favors the tall that it should get less stars? Ridic. There is nothing that detracts from this bloc.

Comments: Peter,
The beta that I suggested includes a left hemhock on the nose of the top sloper to allow your right hand to come up and match. I did not mean right. I have, however, since repeated the problem and think the beta I gave above is not the best.

Comments: Hey Chris,
Could you be more specific about the starting holds for this climb? There is a small hole at the very bottom with an edge that I considered the starting hold, but the start is awkward and bunchy. Just wanted to make sure this is actually the start.

Thanks,
t

Extension? I don't understand. What would there be left to extend? (twss) Fantasia's the right sit that climbs into Bambi.

Comments: Alternative Beta:
Start on the tongue. Go left, right, left through the pockets keeping a heel-toe cam in the tongue the whole time. Slap RIGHT hand to the "sloper-bump" and bump up to a good right hand sidepull. Kneebar with the right and bring your left hand up to an arching crimp. Bring your left foot up to a really good crimp and heel hook with the right on the flat hold. Left foot through to toehook to get the bicycle and then right hand to a slopey pinch by your heel. Fall in with th... more >>

I was looking at this problem yesterday, and there appear to be two exits. One left and one right (no straight up). The left looks harder. FYI.

Comments: The slab clocks in around 5.4, and there is a really good stance halfway up that you can relax and bask in the glory. However, that is after your get stood up on the lip. The lip section and mantle clocks in at about V4 but has seen a lot of falls from strong climbers. I highly recommend the top out.
