Location: MA : Rose Ledge : Tennessee (5.10) By: sthomas When: Apr 8, 2013 | view comment >> | Comments: Climbed this yesterday with a couple people shorter than myself. We didn't believe the "consensus 5.9 to 5.11" before, but afterwards came to the same conclusion. Wingspan of 5'11" or greater, it's 5.9. Wingspan of 5'9" or greater, it's at least 5.11.

Location: NH : Rumney : Triple Corners : Triple Corners Left : Drilldo (5.12b) By: sthomas When: Nov 13, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: Got on this thing today. Really fun with a wide range of climbing in its relatively short length. FIguring out the upper slab took quite a bit of exploring but there are just enough holds up there for it to go.

Location: KY : Red River Gorge : Military Wall : Moonbeam (5.9) By: sthomas When: May 10, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: It's a blood pressure cuff. Get up there and stick your arm through it to see if you are sufficiently warmed up. It's also a touch loose, so be gentle.

Location: NH : *NH Ice and Alpine Climbing : Mt. Willard : Left Hand Monkey Wrench (WI3) By: sthomas When: Jun 15, 2010 | view comment >> | Comments: Did this last season. Enjoyable, but short. Quick word of warning: the chandelier that can form on the left side tends to be fragile. It got hit by a small chunk of ice dislodged by a climber above and basically exploded, hitting a pair of climbers racking up underneath it with a pair of microwaved sized blocks (they were fine, just called it a day after that incident). I recommend waiting on the right end of the climb to avoid falling ice.
