Comments: Just stumbled upon this route. This is a great solo clean aid route for those that don't mind yarding on etriers.

Comments: Glad you liked this area as much as I do. I was never a fan of waiting in line for routes, therefore I like to ditch away from the crowds in areas like this. Our goal was to put up enough routes that more than one party could climb there.

As of two weeks ago, there are a few of the suspect Austria Alpin knifeblades on this route. I didn't have a hammer nor anything to replace them with. The yare in an area that is heavily protected therefore I wouldn't worry too much. When I get the ch... more >>

Comments: This route is really clean. Some of the cleanest rock we've first ascended. Even the moss is good climbing!

However, we shall deliver massive amounts of choss in another canyon. As soon as Pete can make an approach that is not hellish, it may be the longest choss in the Wasatch!!!!

Comments: I second that. In fact, I don't think this area is worth much unless you have little time and are nearby. If not, drive somewhere else.

Comments: Pretty stoked this dude gets to jump up and down on a tight rope that is pulling horizontally from the fragile summit of ancient art. Nothing like trying to pull one of the most original summits in the desert down! Wow....totally radical!

Comments: A easy second pitch was added to the top of this route. Climb 5.5 up the arÍte past two bolts to the peak of the slab. Belay off natural gear on the top. There are a set of chains back and left (10-15 yards) from the summit. One rope (60m) will get you to the chains of the first pitch. This second pitch is choss but still fun for whomever likes to tip toe around on suspect rock. I had both feet cut loose but held it together because the terrain was easy and low angled. Of course the chossma... more >>

Comments: I think you misunderstood. I meant don't pull outward. For example, some people belay and hang outward on a daisy chain while belaying the leader. I didn't mean pull (remove) the bolt. I know about the sheer strength and that its the most important part of the strength. That is why I put all those bolts in at the angle they are.

Comments: I think the big and wide tower on the left is "the mothership" I may be mistaken as these formations look similar. If it is, it has that has four routes on it. I will try to find the beta and post it.

Good to see Parowan canyon choss getting climbed again!

Comments: This route is cool. Is the fragment still there? This was the only time in my climbing endeavors that I felt like I mantled a marble. Bob Draney could climb. Come on Zach, everything in that canyon is a chosspile.

Comments: I dont have a photo, however I think my buddy does. You will know that you are at the route because you will pass a drilled angle (if my memory is correct) and traverse right (west) while stuffing hands straight up in the underside of a roof. It is a really fun handrack. Probably one of the best ones in C-canyon. There are a few other cracks that are worth climbing. Searching for Sluts is a good one.

Its great to see somebody checking out the obsure routes in Cedar City. There are so many... more >>

Comments: The best route at this area is "buttshot" If you hike up and left and keep going you will see a horizontal handcrack. Start up the left side and climb right to a bolted anchor. Tape the hands.

Comments: Its the bowling alley, don't pull out on any anchor. At this crag, clip the fixed piece and hope for the best. Rap smooth and steady. Most importantly, do not fall.
