Comments: I'm curious... did the rope actually break recently? I was there last week Friday (7/2/10) and one of the ropes (pink/purple one I believe) had significant core exposed on the boulder end of the tyrol where it rubs on the rock. It also seemed to sag very close to the water even with my bag on the line and a short draw. Maybe they need more tension or maybe the water is just really high? If it did break, I have another rope I could donate to the cause... but haven't tensioned one before. I'm sure... more >>

Comments: Well I definitely appreciate your efforts on the area! While this one didn't work out, I would say that some of them are indeed classic worthy (like Night Stick!). Like you say too, great quiet-have-to-yourself area. Thanks for posting it up, too.

Comments: Luke, I can understand why you bolted this... it looks nice. The different rock bands etc. Even the moves were kind of cool/bouldery. That said, yes, it's total choss. Win some and lose some I suppose.

Comments: Does anyone happen to have info on the bolted line just left of Black and Tan? It currently has draws hanging on it all the way up. We climbed on the face up to the first set of anchors before the wild looking roof moves and noticed a red tag on the first bolt (past the first anchors). Is this route/extension new? Is it open to climb on? Thanks!

Comments: I wanted to echo Melin's comments. It is short but I thought the routes had nice moves... and it's only a short jaunt up the hill to check it out.
Rhoads, are you still moving out to CO? We have a few longer routes here ;)

Comments: The fourth bolt is still loose (again, not just the hanger but the bolt itself) as of 7/1/09. I don't really know how to fix such things.... The chains up top are really handy though, thanks for putting those on!

Anyway, somehow managed to drag myself up this one clean. Saved the falling for some other routes that day ;-) (hows the hand Chris? and nice lead too!)
