Comments: I'm guessing it probably wasn't the first ascensionist who took the liberty of naming this route " Mexican Unicorn." If we're going to start naming all the best "unnamed" or "no name" routes in the Creek, then I hereby declare the 5.10 "No-Name Crack" on Supercrack Buttress will forever hence be known as "Hand-Job Love Fest." Mike Sanders came up with this very clever and appropriate name for the previously unnamed classic years ago, but we didn't have the courage to be so presumptuous or arro... more >>

Comments: With more than 15ft of runout on the face above the P2 roof I would have to give this route a "serious" or "R" rating. True, it's easy enough (5.6ish) but, this section is devoid of pro. Therefore, despite the grade, I wouldn't recommend it for the novice leaders. You can also bail way left (about 30ft) and finish via the last two RF dihedrals on "Cottontail," which is the best part of that climb and definitely fun 5.6. Comments: Hey you forgot to mention how hot it was there yesterday! (Other than the swarms of flys and ants). What a cool place! I'd like to know what the locals know; but in the future I will avoid Devil's Head during hotter months. Dirty quality rock, bolted cracks, obscure trails, no water; I loved it! I'll be back in Autumn.
