Comments: Nice photo Jay. The problem you call F. "Special ED Left" is what I called Special ED. I never did the right variation letter G because of the death stump factor at the heinous mantle its hard and mental. I used to call it the "mental mantle" but like I said I never did it. The stump is a factor on "F. Special ED Orginal" but a bit safer than "mental mantle" I felt. It always looked like that stump seemed rotten enough to remove or shove over but i couldn't move it.

Comments: yep that's correct Flow pops to a good left handed hold then up while No Flow is straight up to a hard to snag sloper on top center they use the same start.

Comments: i put that up in 1998 i called it Extra Mileage but i like "the dish" better. there are two on that face the right one is Five O'clock Shadow and is a SDS also 1998. i also out up Flotation v5/6 SDS 1999 on the right side of the boulder and goes out a bulge/mini roof out over block on the ground. there are 2 on the left side of the boulder called One Flow V3 SDS and No Flow a one move wonder pop to the top from the same SDS holds as One Flow V6 maybe, both done in 1998. Comments: The Hermit and Chameleon boulders are in what we always called the "boulder field", the areas i found known as the "Zion area boulders" are further downstream, followed by the Harvest boulders and then the area I found and named Stone Hinge. There is also the Flow boulder where i put up a bunch of stuff which below the the Zion boulders near the river

Comments: i put up 2 problems to the left of French Toes in 1999/2000. one was a one move dyno to the top above the ramp lip and the other was the same start but moved right to a cool sharp sidepull hold and topped out.
Left one was called Pocket Rocket and the right one was called The Trundle because I pulled off a big block topping out. it's probably still on the ground nearby.

Comments: there is a small boulder with 2 low balls up and to the right of the brain boulder. both started to the right of a small tree that was against the boulder. left problem was Dig Deep V6ish by Quillen and involved a hard left side pull move. the right problem was done by Behrens and was a little easier but I don't have its name recorded.

Comments: The stand start was a right facing blocky hold slightly above head height. photo you guys have is the way it was back in the late 90s
The SDS was maybe V5/6 started on crimps, high left foot, you rock up to shallow pocket with left hand pop to the broken hold in question with right hand, which where the stand start begins.

Comments: Andy Quillen and I did this in 1999 same time as The Brain. we called it O.D.B. Crack or Old Dirty Bastard because it took longer to clean it out than it did to climb it.

Comments: Jonathan Kingston FA'd the stand up version in 1997, I added a sit start in 1999 and called it Monkey's Paw. That obvious hold that looks recently broken, broke in like 1997.

Comments: I put this up in 2000. Hard SDS, to a gaston/back hand crimp in the crack leads to SLOPEY even harder sketchier top out. I called it Kung Foo Hand.

Comments: I put this problem was put up in 1999 and the boulder was called the Hermit Cave, there are 2 problems actually, "hermit right" SDS on right and "hermit center" straight up face,SDS in the middle.

Comments: I put up one problem on this boulder in 2000 that had an envelope slot you went to after a SDS, had a weird pinky catch water groove/crack you popped to at the lip. topping out was the hardest part. I called it Special ED.
