Comments: There are 2 routes on the face with #9 that people climb. Not sure what they are and haven't been on them in a couple years so I don't remember. Your #8 is in face for the bolts for crotch shot. Viable option is the arete to the right across the face. Beijing is between 6 and 7. Vulcan crawl is the the left of #2 and ends on vulcan crawls anchors. I'm not sure what the route you have labeled #2 actually is, but its 11-. Your #4 line is wrong for any of the 3 ... more >>

Comments: Apparently if it's not on Mountain Project, it's not "official." So here is the official closed climb list for 2014.

www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/climbing.htm

And also,it's just $10 for a bivi permit. Just get one so you don't give climbers a bad name in the park. Or just do the wall in a day.

Comments: Brought a single set of cams from blue TCU to BD #3 and had to stop at first set of anchors. If you are a 5.9 climber bring 2 sets of cams. I will bring 2 sets of TCUs when I do it again.

Comments: HAHA Killing in the name of!!! How true this is. It's all to common to see inexperienced climbers on the classics here, Moab, and every were else. LEARN TO CLIMB BEFORE YOU GET ON THESE ROUTES!! We went to get on it Friday at 9:00 hoping the slow parties would be up and we could pass them above the chimneys. After waiting at the base for half an hour to see this would be impossible, we hiked back to the car to get a tag line and started climbing at noon. By 3:00 we were both on top ... more >>

Comments: I set the grade at 12+ because there is no way this thing is 12a/b. There is only one 'face' hold left in the crux and what feet are left are breaking off at an alarming rate. I blew 5 foot holds, including half of the best face hold in the crux. If someone gets the point on this they can change the grade, but it's going to be sketchy!

Comments: Dodge City and Utopia are not approached from here. Park farther down the road on the 3-4 car pullout on the right and look for the trail across the road.

Comments: Dihedral route finishes on the chains on the right of the crack. The chains on the left is a ~11a that starts in the middle of gang of four and goes up and right.

Comments: This is way harder than CT. Might be light for a 12c, but it's harder than Patsy at 12b. Harder than Sprayer as well at 12b.

Comments: I would say that the crux is getting to the first bolt heading straight up - Not coming in from T/X.

Comments: According to Deb, Swedish Finger Yams is the correct name of the route and it's intent is to head straight up(a little left) at 10d.

SFM isn't a correct route, unless it's the break right variation. Which I don't know who would have named.

Comments: Climb the arete and hang a double draw on the 4th bolt so you can clip it from down below. Then climb face and you have your 11a.

Comments: Didn't realize that the "winch" was considered "hard moves." I also support the drilled pockets instead of the winch. Don't understand why some people are so up in arms about removing the winch start when many of the holds on the wall are drilled. You just can't tell. And if you didn't know these were drilled, you wouldn't be able to tell.

Comments: I would agree that it's noticeably harder that LC..

I cleaned a loose block on it today. Another little one that is a little loose, but everything else is solid.
