Comments: Ryan-

Definitely possible. Mark Pell and I were talking about it. I've always struggled on this route and felt it was really hard. Hell, I bailed on it today! =P

Comments: The reaches are definitely gigantic if you're not 6'4". Mark is taller than me he didn't feel it was hard. So this is definitely height dependent.

Comments: The hold may have broken a bit more. It's quite bad and pretty sharp now. I did it before it broke and it was definitely V1. It got V3 for the Rodeo, I did it during the comp and would agree.

Comments: It seems that some folks feel that $10 is too much to pay for a day of climbing. This continues to be a problem at POB. If you can't afford to pay for climbing or you don't think you should have to pay to use someone's private property, then just don't go to POB. Climbers trespassing will ruin it for everyone. Freddie is watching, he writes down plate numbers and keeps track of who goes in and out. Don't be a moron.

Comments: I gotta say Ryan, I really feel that this route is as hard, if not harder than Sweet Action and really deserves a solid 5.10 rating. If not that, then at least 9+. Unless there is some super secret squirrel beta!

Comments: I have received word that it's likely this route needs an upgrade. It's 5.7 rating in the guidebook is apparently a mistake and this route falls more in the hard 5.9 region.

Comments: I have been adding info for the climbs directly from the guidebook, but I will need to go back and re-write the entries for the climbs. A friend of Jimmy's had given me tacit approval to pull the beta from the guidebook but there could be some potential legal issues to do so even if I cite the original work. So I will be going back and updating the climbs with my own words.

Comments: There is a box in front of the house that holds waivers and envelopes to put money in. There is a slot on the back of the box in which to place the envelopes. A sign-in sheet is located next to the box.

It's $6 a night to camp, which is helpful for beating the heat.

When Filibuster Creek is dry, the creek bed reflects the heat up and it gets pretty toasty in the shade.

Comments: The guidebook says standard rack, doubles #2-4. From the bottom the top half looked protectable with #2s but I found that it really requires mostly 3s and 4s to protect the climb. Long runners are a good idea too.

Comments: One of the key holds between the first and second bolts has a giant X on it indicating not to use it. I'm probably not strong enough to make the move without using the hold or I just wasn't able to figure out the sequence without using the marked hold.

Comments: This route eats up gear. Most of the climbing is fairly easy and straight-forward. Great hands and feet. The crux is very committing and exposed but protects beautifully. Once through the crux, it's easy climbing. I definitely feel the name of this route is appropriate.

Comments: I led this route over the weekend. I stayed in the crack the entire way. When I neared the top, someone asked me what route I was on, but when I told them, they said I was actually finishing on Foolish. Does this route finish on the crack or finish on the to the left of the crack?

Comments: First time to lead in the Wichitas. Great route, easily protected. Takes cams, stoppers, and tricams. Great for small hands like mine.

Comments: This is a fun route. That mantle at the finish is freakin' heroic.
