Comments: Easy to get off route. I started sort of through the trees in the right facing gully, but then it got too 4th class and I went back left. Had to down climb from a pinnacle into the Gutter then back up to where I hit the trail. Don't know how I missed the jump, but I'll try again!! Stay left is my advice.

Comments: Snow all the way up, small runnel. Good neve, turned to soft snow with the sun. Direct Leia is best option as cornices guard most of the escape exit. One small hole down low and a 5 foot crack 1/2 way up. Great shape.

Comments: Sloppy snow. Top half is very wet and melting out quickly.

Comments: Right hand side anchor chains seem to be covered by ice. There is a rap anchor on a tree w/ two quicklinks to the left.

Comments: In response to Warren's comment, I believe there is a ring piton when you hit the roof, then if you traverse right there is a bolt about 1/2 way. It's been a while, so don't rely on that beta, but I remember being happy clipping both.

Comments: Stash the backpack!! I didn't want to leave it so I ended up trailing it off my harness and it took a lot of fun out of the slot. We might have gotten off route, but I thought some of the features were a bit thin in places for the 5.2 rating. Simul climb up into the slot chimney and the eyebolt can be reached in a single rope length. Rappel off the eye bolt through the gully, but be sure to go in between the 2nd and 3rd Pinnacles for a fast walk out. Don't follow the trail down in the dark if ... more >>

Comments: Nice climb, especially for beginners (leaders and seconds). See Jason Haas guidebook for pics and description. Top rope anchors require a bit of thinking as its a jumble of unconnected blocks. There is an eyebolt for the slot, but its positioning is not great for this climb.

Comments: Ditto on the runout. Not much happening after the roof. Feet are pretty decent, hands are ok. Wouldn't recommend falling on the second half. Just push on through and the finish tapers off. Moves are 5.7, but the commitment is much higher.

Comments: Great route...just a note that I found that a #4 BD wasn't big enough for the crux (if you want it). Next time I'll probably at least bring a #4.5. You can avoid the big piece by placing a cam up in the crux sidepull.

Comments: Just a note, the anchors are bit high on this climb. I'm about 5.9' and I was reaching to thread the rope.

Comments: Fun route. I must have lead the second pitch differently as it seemed to be more run out and balancy, putting me about 15' above gear (or at least it seemed that way). I don't remember a classic crack, just slabby moves. The pro didn't seem to be as good either, and I was glad to get to the fixed nut and underclings at the roof right before the 2nd belay. Watch out for parties behind you on Hiatus as they'll climb right through your 2nd pitch belay gully.

Comments: Is this that huge rock off of ski hill road? I go up to Allen's quite a bit and the only large boulder I've seen is at the turn off.
