Comments: Let me just add to snaffel's loquaciousness by saying this is a great climb and you should do it. One of the best 11's in the Spokane Area in my humble opinion.

Comments: Please take the PG-13 off the rating. No way it belongs.

Comments: climbed the route yesterday and the crux was dry. water is still running on the right, but it's not a problem on Chicken Spread.

Comments: THE ACCESS ISSSUES HAVE BEEN SOLVED! the crags are now part of the Dishman Hills Natural Area. It is easiest to take the Stevens Creek Rd. From Regal (on the South Hill at 46th) Take a left on Palouse highway. From the junction of 57th, drive 5.6 miles and turn left on Stevens Creek Rd. Continue past Sharon Rd. and Big Rock Rd. (about 2 miles). Park on the right before the No Trespassing signs. Walk up the road. you'll soon see Big Rock up ahead and a bit to the right.

Kudos to the Dishman Nat... more >>

Comments: I would argue that for the 5.10 climber, The Lower 5th has much better climbs than any of the walls up above. The climbs are more technical and quite a bit more interesting, I think, than any 5.10 on the Post Wall or Garden Wall. They are also a bit harder, as grade creep does not seem to have reached the Lower fifth yet.

The approach is nowhere near as long or arduous as I had thought. In less than 5 minutes from the Garden Wall you can be at the Lower 5th.
The trail is also quite good, with o... more >>

Comments: DIRECTIONS: From I-90 take exit 283 B (Freya St/Thor St) go North on Freya St, drive 2.4 mi. Take a right on Euclid Ave. and drive 1.9 mi. Euclid will turn into E. Upriver Dr. Look for John H. Shields Park on the left just after the road begins following the Spokane River. The main face is obvious from here.

Comments: Two bolts have been added and this is now a very safe sports lead, and one of the best 11's in the area. Thank you bolting fairy! I'm usually not in favor of adding bolts to existing climbs but: 1. It was not common for Jude to be climbed ground up (practically never got done as far as I can tell. 2. Gear placements look nonexistent or at least super thin and crappy. 3. Nobody brings gear to this crag.

Comments: There are jugs to clip from. All the clips seemed quite safe to me. Look for long moves at the crux. May be 5.10 if you're short.

Comments: Much respect to Goran, he was an amazing athlete. With that said, don't be freaked out by the past accident. This is a fun, safe lead. Ditto the last post. I don't think the #4 is needed, and didn't need to bump up the second #3.
