Comments: This is a good route to set up a TR on for beginners. Don't hog it on the weekends though because a lot of people use it for a warm up before Fantasy.

Comments: Brian and Ryan are right on about this route. The top is only hard because all of a sudden it's in your face unlike the rest of the route. People get to it and freak out, but if you climb smart it's just as chill as the rest of the route.

And FWIW, I've found plenty of stances that aren't "strenuous" to place gear.

Comments: Pitch 2 is worth doing. Watch the rope drag and string it out into one long pitch. Belay from the anchors up top and have fun getting back to the rings at the top of the first "pitch".

Comments: Good luck keeping the rope out of the crack as you pull the roof. If you're ballsy enough to not place any pro until after the roof you'll be fine. Great climbing, but not what you'd expect when you first look at it.

Comments: So good. This route deserves all of the stars it gets. Great exposure, fun moves, and one poorly placed bolt adds to the spice of the route. So, so, so good.

Comments: I did this route about a year ago and wussed out and traversed to the anchors out left (extension of Exoduster.) Finally got on it again this weekend when I saw someone had bailed and left 2 nuts, a sling and 3 biners. I agree, the traverse is very spicy. I got rope burn pulling rope across my leg I was so sketched.

Comments: Bouldery start, technical (and thin) face and arete climbing, and a slightly pumpy finish that will catch you off guard if this is your limit. Great climbing.

Comments: Awesome route. I agree with the 3 stars at least comment. If this thing got cleaned up at all it would be 4 stars without question. Could benefit from anchors at the top, but as it is you need a second to follow and rap or you have to leave something and lower on it to clean.

This was phenomenal.

Comments: Aaron,

I was at the comp at the rock the other night. I'm president of VT's climbing club but won't be after this semester because I'm graduating. Anyway, I'm trying to head down there with COEveryman (Jordan) soon to check the area out. Hope it's as good as you say, the pictures look totally awesome.

Comments: Great mixed route. Fun relaxed crack climbing down low with a few really fun moves and a tricky top section. Very clean line for Bubba City. One of my favorite 11's at Bubba.

Comments: This route was a lot of fun for me. Not typical RRG, but very reminiscent of the New River Gorge. Thought it was a great line.

Comments: I wanted to puke when I got down from this one. Great route though. Really lives up to its name.

EDIT 3/21/11:

Finally sent this thing this weekend.

Don't need anything bigger than a #3 for the bottom (#4 if you're shorter maybe). A single rack will get you up it just fine, I wound up slamming a #1 high and deep at the offwidth section towards the top, it's out of the way unlike placing a bigger cam there.

And FWIW, this route is not PG13, you can get gear everywhere you n... more >>

Comments: Very cool route. Found some good nut placements in the weird lower section and just ran it out on easy ground. Crux is definitely down low and it's definitely worth topping this one out to the cliff top. Keep the rope tight for your second though.

Comments: Very cool route with a bouldery crux at the bottom and fun climbing to the top. Don't get scared on the slopers.

Comments: Great route and pretty sustained. If you screw up the moves to the shuts you're gonna go for a hell of a ride. Here's a tip, don't grab the slopey rail.

Comments: Little bit burly down low with some fist size stuff but phe-freaking-nominal if you like goofy dihedrals and perfect splitters for the rest of it.

Comments: This route would be classic if it wasn't for the top. Chossy top with a sketchy rap off a tree. Perfect hand jams in a flake.

Comments: Great route, tons of fun, and a gorgeous dihedral. Bring a number three for under the roof but you really don't need anything bigger than maybe a #1 C4 the rest of the way. Mainly .4-.75 size gear.
