Comments: The only scary monsters I see are at the base of this climb.

Comments: This photo was taken before I saw Darryl's great photo of the same problem. We must have chosen similar angles and light.

Comments: I thought it was a pretty safe drop once you got away from the slab and into the upper jugs before turning the lip.

Comments: The flake housing the right hand crimp of the crux (between 1st and 2nd bolt) came off today. It still goes with little change in difficulty of the maneuver.

Comments: The last bolt is spinning, and I would not trust a fall on this bolt. It is just above a horizontal break where you could place marginal gear.

Comments: I guess I was misinformed, laziness was not my objective....Admin, delete this route, I don't know enough about Vedauwoo to do the Acres area justice. Eldofiend seems to be knowledgeable.

Comments: There is definitely lots of grass growing out of the top jugs in the crack sytem. Take a look at the top out before you climb this guy.

Comments: There is also a nice sloper for your L hand which allows you to huck with your right to the jug avoiding the crossover. Still feels like a 5+/6-

Comments: There is a bird's nest on one of the first few jugs of this problem. Today (7/18/09) I saw baby chicks in the nest. Hopefully they eventually vacate so we can use this hold again.

Comments: It took us a few burns to find the secret beta to get out to the lip. Its a good one despite its short stature.

Comments: Hey Luke, I'm not sure we're talking about the same line. We started on the jugs. moved right to a good sidepull, then left to a crimp, shuffled the feet up, and gastoned the sharp crimp. We then crossed over to the undercling, and followed that seam right on really good holds to the top and mantled from there. You can see the cross over move in the display picture with dean, and you can see mike working up the seam on good holds. After talking with my friend who sent it, we agree on around v4/... more >>

Comments: FA and name info on this guy is needed. There is also a nice v0 - v1 on the arete to the left of this problem.

Comments: I also felt it was very soft for a V6. Felt much closer to the V4+ to V5- range. My climbing partner felt it was much harder as his wingspan barely reaches both aretes. It could be a height dependent problem, I am 5'8" with a +3 ape index.
