Comments: This was a cool climb and my first 5.9 lead. The gear was all good although I did crap my pants a little. A #3 Camalot fits perfectly in the vertical crack a few feet above the end of Gill Crack.

Comments: After getting the facts straight, I decided to revise my previous post. By arguing that chalk is destroying you're "wilderness experience", you are ignoring many other annoyances. First, there is the issue of camping. On my last trip to the area, I was amazed by how over run it is with excess campsites and trails. Second, there is the issue of dogs. When you are off trying to enjoy the "wilderness experience" and a dog comes up and starts licking and barking at you it is annoying also. So, you s... more >>

Comments: Why is everyone so hard on this problem. If it were graded V7/8, then no one would give a shit about it. If you have the ability to look past the grade, then this problem is not that bad. Its just that everyone seems to care a whole lot more about whether it is V9 V7 than about if it is a good problem.

Comments: I agree, ratings are subjective. However, that said, I have not know anyone who has done this problem and called it V9.

Comments: I would have to agree that when a boulder is right next to a lake, camping spot, stream, etc. that it is annoying and dissapointing to see it all chalked up. But when the boulders are secluded in the woods, like most of the ones I found, it is a different story.

Comments: I was recently in the area and noticed a large potential for good bouldering. Has anyone else noticed this or developed anything? Most boulderers that I know would probably complain that it is to long of an aproach, but i was hoping that someone would've checked it out.

Comments: I thought this was a great route and it was my first lead out side. The big incut huecos make it a great beginner climb.

Comments: 2 stars is a bit much for this route in my oppinion. it is very short and the clips are bad. Also, the movement is not that great either.

Comments: My friend and I climbed the route today and when we got to the top we were a bit confused. The downclimb is not 4th class or 5.0 and after spending over a half an hour on the summit we decided to just put a sling around a boulder and rap down. If you do not normally solo then this down climb is definitely not for you as it is quite scary.
