Comments: Blame Urban Climber, for perpetuating hype! Dare we mention that they also upstroked it to v6, despite 30 years of consensus v5/B1.

Comments: I always thought it was presumptuous of Lisa and company to claim the "first Female ascent" on this one, given that they know nothing of Josh history!

Comments: This is one of the best 5.10 trad lines I have done in Josh. May not be a pure crack, but what a great climb! Polished smooth patina. I am stunned that its a Todd Gordon route - no 20ft tall congealed oatmeal slabs here!!

Comments: Vogel's '92 guide has it as .10c, his new one has it at .11a, get with the times Todd. I remember when the big hold at the lip first broke off, all the south O.C. hardpersons were rumoring it .11c.

Comments: Btw, great find! One of the best in all of JT bouldering. For years I heard rumors of this roof back in the day - "Cosgrove's Roof" as it was known, almost mythical in status! When I finally found it I was not disappointed!

Comments: That sit was such a rotting mess when I scoped it out. There was a sloping chunk that I kept rubbing my hand on and grains were just showering off of it endlessly. The only thing that motivated me to keep trying to clean it was that it was sooooo steep! I also did another nice low start below the crux of Sex Magician. Starts at some nice huecos and busts a huge campus-like move straight into the crux of SM - called that one Man's Right to Imagination and to Insanity (v5ish) Somehow, because of t... more >>
