The famous Mount Cook - New Zealand - from the Hermitage Lodge.

February 2014 with my little buddy. Yeah, the wind blows over the top. Wild and wicked place to be.

And, your a long way from the car.

Picture borrowed with permission from Dow Williams - www.summitpost.org/murchison-falls-iii-wi-4/277728 From the top (near the rap anchor) looking down on the last pitch. This is, or can be, a difficult lead with little communication and a total rope stretcher. Accidents have occurred here.

Picture borrowed with permission from Dow Williams - www.summitpost.org/murchison-falls-iii-wi-4/277728

Murchison Falls from where you break out of the trees. It's still a long ways off.

Picture borrowed with permission from Dow Williams - www.summitpost.org/murchison-falls-iii-wi-4/277728 'I can't believe it's raining'.

Flew from SLC to Seattle, rented a car and drove through Vancouver to Squamish, spent the night and woke up to a drizzle. Oh well, we have to climb it regardless. We have a flight to catch.

The Grand Wall . . . in less than perfect conditions. With Jason Jones
