Comments: Reptile is a jug fest. there is actually one move that may baffle you but is still juggy and that is going from the lower ledge to upper im sure you will be fine. there are over 15 other lines in vail that are worthy as well and others that are possibly harder but who knows. Have fun

Comments: Ah man, I don't who gave this route a 'bomb' rating. It happens to be the best route in Shelf Road and most likely the best route this side of the ol' Mississip.... Suberb rock , moves and setting. I give this one a total of 4 stars.

Comments: Vail amphitheater most all mixed climbs are in: Amphibian, Fatman & Robin, 7th [Tentacle], Little [Thang] - not in at all but - Pitch [Black], Lucky, [Reptile], [Somnambulist], [Resurrection], [Teriebel] Traverse and the route way left of the Designator "[Dr.] Delicate?" are in and good ([hasn't] come in in a long time). The Belfry (above staircase) all routes including [Pencil] and [Eraser] are climbable and need done. Secret [Probation] also in "thin" as are the routes left of the "[Spiral St... more >>

Comments: Who is this anyway? I think I know who...mixed climbings grades can't at all be compared to rock route grades they are just way to different. Although it would be nice to compare M grades to 5.grades by climbing confirmed graded rock routes with tools and crampons but people wouldn't go for that and it doesn't make sense why compare they are dif. sports. Just cause' an M grade is at the high end scale 'say M10' doesn't mean that it is can be compared to a 5.15. That only states that it is 3 g... more >>

Comments: No, not yet, but I tell you some of those mixed lines have holds that would be almost impossible to hold onto with bare hands- very small. if you want we can go there (Vail) together to find out as I am very curious now.

Comments: Good job.... I don't like to grade routes until others climb it and we can make a consensus... thanks, I felt it 5.10c myself but not any harder at all.

Comments: I really didn't mean to open a can of worms on this. The story goes as follows: I bolted the line in the fall gave it a "couple" of gos. The ice season happened upon the state very early that year. What else to do but hang up the boots and pick up the axes. When I bolt a route I usually take the first hanger off to depict a "working" route. Well, later in the season a friend told me that someone was working the route. To prevent that person from hurting themselves while cliping the second bol... more >>
