Comments: Agreed, Headstone was really cool. It's interesting how the Aiguille diminishes in stature as you approach it. Looked like about 20' if that...

Comments: The North Face route is an easier 5.4/5.5 classic. The hike in is arduous but enjoyable along a creek. Camping is great, and humans are sparse. One could probably solo this, but we roped up in a few areas higher up where it was slightly sketchy and airy. Just plan on stashing your beer at planned spots in the creek for the hike home.

Comments: This route was bolted and climbed first by Stan Smith about 1991. He was indeed 'home alone' with nobody to climb with in Worland when he decided to bolt this route out of boredom. If my memory serves me right he bolted with a power drill from the ground up. Stan taught me how to climb in Ten Sleep Canyon in 1992 and was the original route developer there. Stan the Man!

Comments: Great route! Soloed this with a rappel down North face in 8:20. Excellent way to avoid the crowd with spectacular views both east and west. The sketchy part for me was the slightly wet, east-facing rib below second tower. I didn't sneak west around tower like most people seem to suggest. If you do climb to top of second tower, you will need to downclimb through a small notch just north of tower top. There is a sling there as well if you prefer to rappel the 10 ft to small ledge. I'm 6'2" with lo... more >>

Comments: Excellent climb although I only found six bolts-quite runout on upper stretch with 5.8 moves on steeper section. Must Do!

Comments: We left 2 sets of slings and carabiners on 1st 2 pitches of Dreamweaver. The gear is good if you decide to keep it. Otherwise, some adult beverages are your reward should you decide to retrieve and return. Much appreciated for the latter. The route is good, just some post-holing on the way up. No ice in yet and bottom half hasn't "corned" up yet to provide good skiing.
Thanks,
