Comments: In my experience there seems to be a bit of confusion with this new area. With possibly more than a dozen people developing boulder problems and trying to communicate purely through hear say, blogs, social media, etc there may some misleading info out there. In my opinion.... Aaron Vit has spent significantly more time in this area than anyone else, hands down. Does that make him the authority?? definitely not. But the real problems with this new area is the half asses development:
Comments: despite previous comments and beta on the web, if you do the NC with a single 60m rope you can rappel Kor Ingalls without a problem. Also I feel like a #5 protecting the OW crux is a good idea if you are not a crack climber.
Comments: The first move is a little nervy and that seemed to be the only "slick holds". regardless they are big feet. great finger movement through the middle section. if this was 5 times longer it would be an indian creek mega classic. The routes above it seemed fun too.
Comments: I did this as my first ever basalt climb yesterday (just moved from Colorado). I was impressed in the quality of movement and variety of holds and positions. If you are tall, add a grade and skip the obvious rest on top of the huge ledge. fire straight up the head wall for a fun runout above a bomber #2. I didnt feel greasy and the rock was of fine quality. Lots of high feet!!
