Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Jazz Dome : The Strat (5.9+) By: Ralph Kolva When: 18 hours ago | view comment >> | Comments: There is a lot of lichen on the lower half of this route, be prepared to deal with some less than typical SPlatte friction because of it. Quite a few loose small edges/flakes as well. This climb doesn't seem to get much traffic.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Jazz Dome : Straight - No Chaser (5.8+) By: Ralph Kolva When: 18 hours ago | view comment >> | Comments: While it is pretty easy ground, the runout from the last bolt to the anchors is at least 50 feet, maybe 60.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Jazz Dome : Moonlight Cocktail (5.7+ PG13) By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 28, 2013 | view comment >> | Comments: Guessing the 4th bolt is really the last bolt on Lynn's route? Start is a bit bouldery, I would say the first 5 feet are more like 5.8 or 5.8+, certainly felt harder than the start of D&D, but it's a cruise after the first bolt.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Jazz Dome : Lynn's Route (5.6) By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 28, 2013 | view comment >> | Comments: Nice new bolts and the cord around the tree was in good shape as of 4/28/13. I could see being a little intimidated by this route for new leaders not used to typical slab routes, it is pretty easy though. All 4 of the routes on this part of the wall felt pretty much the same difficulty once past the start.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Jazz Dome : D&D (5.8) By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 28, 2013 | view comment >> | Comments: Bottom moves are through a short, ledgy section with some friable rock. Second pitch heads for the 2 obvious bolts about 20 feet out and then straight up through some more friable rock to top out on the blunt arete with another 2 bolt anchor. All in all a fun route with a few more bolts than typical SPlatte slab route.

Location: CO : Morrison/Evergreen : Alderfer/Three Sisters Park : Work and Play Area : Suggestions For Use (V1) By: Ralph Kolva When: May 22, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Pic shows this line far left, but the description says far right. Either way, I didn't see much but lichen.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Murphy's Dome South Face By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 22, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Seems like the routes on Murphey's are graded a little steeper (or would that be softer?) than some other domes in SPlatte. Thinking back on Topo Oceans (The Dome), Java Dome and a few other Splatte slabs and the climbs here I would rate a 1/2 to a full grade harder than found in MP. Expect some friable rock, doesn't seem like Murphey's gets much traffic.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Murphy's Dome South Face : Pork Meadows (5.10b) By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 22, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: This route is thinner and harder than Burley Dudes and Way Jingus on Java Dome, I would call it 11+ if all the decent edges didn't break off! Expect some loose nubbins on this climb.

Location: CO : South Platte : Deckers : Atlantis Dome By: Ralph Kolva When: Apr 7, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Walked past today on the way to N. Java and there are some nice shiny bolts on Atlantis, certainly a few routes appeared well bolted, remember this is S. Platte. Given that we didn't spend much time looking at the routes, have to go back sometime and see what has bolts now.

Location: CO : Colorado Springs : Red Rock Canyon Open Space : Whale's Tail : Pockets a' Plenty (5.9) By: Ralph Kolva When: Feb 25, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Leftmost? I'd say rightmost, anyhow, the pics give you a good idea of the start of this climb. Not a bad climb, but a couple of the bolts could have been better place, or at least another bolt, to avoid hitting some ledges in case you messed up in the wrong place.
