|More information:|Email me if you'd like to come and climb on the Navajo Reservation or even think about it. I will answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. I am full-blooded Navajo and also am a member of the tribe. The NO CLIMBING ALLOWED is there only to deter outsiders from climbing on the reservation but isn't enforced. So if you're feeling like joining me to play the role of the Lone Ranger w/ Tonto, let's do this and I can only say that if we do find trouble or trouble finds us, I can only plead ignorance on my part and do feel that this No Climbing Rule stinks!
A lot of the climbing is aid and on 'mudstone' (as one climber put it) and then there are some volcanic basalt.
I am willing to accompany anyone willing to experience the Navajo Nation at it's best and it's worst (dust storms).
