Comments: cool route...........but the almost hardest (felt) move is the last to the first bolt....ground fall granted ... After the first pitch it is almost sports :-) , every 50 feet a bolt, nice and funny........Gear is there but very small, don't know (and don't want to test it) if it would hold a fall - a 100 feet whipper would be a special experience....

Comments: For me the crux was reaching the third bolt and to the fourth.... But the third is even heady.
But absolutely great route!

Comments: You forgot a very important detail! There are much more "do not go down this gully, gully" - if you go down the right side of the ridge you have to hike home from Windy Peak not Whiskey Peak :-)

Sorry folks, but you really can't miss the descent!!!!

We made it in something less than 9 hours car to car and we were baked in the sun from the start till the end (ok not in the chimneys.......... Who the hell said starting early is recommended??????

Great big Sandbag in the chimneys but a real funn... more >>

Comments: we climbed it today, absolutely superb!!!
The loose shark fin in pitch 4 has been stabilised with a small bolder, now it is fixed and doesn't move if you don't pull sidewards.....For me seems pretty safe, unless you don't really need it......

Comments: onsighted it today, small things, cool. second bold is not the difficult one to clip more the third and fourth when you are high enough not to deck anymore....

Comments: climbed it today, found it at least 3 stars. third pitch is added but ends up with a runout to a 2 1/4 bolt anchor, don't understand why this anchor hasn't been changed as well.
with this hanging belay at two 1/4 absolutely dangerous! Recommend not to do the third pitch although it is the best of the three!

Comments: I'm curious to know who really made it REDPOINT....
Adam Ondra surely not, he had pre-clipped the bolts....
This route is definetely much harder if clipping! And Wolfgang did remove all quickdraws after each attempt! This guy was a way better climber than most of the repeaters...... m.p.o!

Comments: No need to climb the tree, you can go strait for the bolt on the wall, maybe 5.10c but fits perfect to the route and is kind of more clean :-)
We had only runners with us, did not miss any gear.

Comments: went left in pitch No.3 after the first bolt and was lost in the middle of nowhere.... My fault....
2nd pitch is extremely nice but not too good protection, I would call it some kind of Runout....

Comments: For me the best route I climbed in the two weeks there, better than Levitation 29.
Great but serious to lead.

Comments: Great, really superb! One of the best!
We were afraid by reading the expected times for climbing and aproach but did it in 7 hours, car to car in the end.

Comments: I almost dyed in this route - psychical did..... The first bolt is easy to clip with a side layback on good holds, but to reach the second bolt, you risk a death fall. The crux is reaching the second bolt and it is around 20 - to 25 feet upon the first bold but only 40 feet above ground.....
Once you reached and clipped the second bolt you have it, some more fine holds.....
For me: not to be climbed, absolutely dangerous!

Comments: I personally don't see a 5.10 for that route, 5.9 would be ok for me too. But I like that style of climbing. Where is the Runout to give that Route the R ?
But very nice and smooth...
good protection possible.

On the right side of chicken is a route "Aikido" or similar called, 5.11d or so, here the R is missing in the guide, although from 1st to second bolt a deep grounder is possible and the crux move is to reach the second bolt!
Scary and death-fall possible!!!!!
