Comments: Beware of topo for Combat Rock on this site. There's a bunch of errors. The routes posted seem to be fine, but the picture with routes and bolts drawn in isn't good.

Comments: This isn't actually the farthest left bolted route. "Battle of the Bulge" is.

Comments: I did a great lead slightly to the right of where the guy is in the picture. Get a cam or two in the broken, horizontal crack halfway up and a great small cam halfway up the second section.

Comments: First pitch had some dangerous loose blocks, was steep and well-featured. Second pitch was good, somewhat exposed and sustained, and had thick lichen. Fun moves between troublesome bushes. I too had no desire to traverse left under the roof because: 1) you're at the top. 2) insane lichen/choss out left.

Comments: I took just nuts with me. I found two obvious bomber placements that perfectly divided up the runout.

Comments: They fixed all the bolt issues. These runouts are as safe as it gets. The rock quality isn't perfect, but I don't think it will cause you problems.
