Comments: Jim,
I have not posted that boulder up yet but plan to shortly. I think we will use the historic reference and still call it Whale's Jaw as that is the way it appears on the map. There is a great V4 problem that is tall and proud on this boulder.

Comments: Hi Benjamin,
That sounds good..... just "add an area" under Hammond Pond and you should be all set.

Comments: That picture shows the problem Badass (V4). The slopey lip traverse 12-15 feet to the left of Badass is a new problem called Crowd Pleaser (V5-). To the right of the problem Badass about 8-9 feet is the left-trending finger crack The Force (V7). Finally, out on the front of that boulder is the problem Dream Team (V2).

Comments: That block is part of the Cemetery Boulders. Let me know if you want to see some of the big blocks around the Great Swamp this coming weekend, Chris. Thanks Pete

Comments: That's the Anvil Boulder. Road Kill (V4) doesn't use the right arete at all.

Comments: Hey Morgan,
I will put you down for the first ascents on both of those problems.
I believe they are Show Us Your Woody and Hookup. Bob is listed as the first ascent for the Great Frog Arete, but the full sit is an open project. The other boulders you mentioned have not been posted up yet, but I remember the problems you are referring to. Captain Mo, let me know if you are going to be in the area at any point as we have developed tons of stuff just outside the park that Bob found years ago.

Comments: Karthik,
You should put your name down for the first ascent of this problem and name it as I have never heard anyone mention it or seen anyone do it. Pete

There are 3 different ways to start it from the sit position...find the one that works for you.

Comments: This problem was originally first done by Bob Parrot from the stand start at hard V5 and called Only Bob Can Do It! Andy added a sit and renamed it Basket Case.

Comments: Yes... the crouch start adds two moves to the V6 stand start. The full sit will only add one more move, but that move alone is probably V8/9.

Comments: Five Ted,
Please think about access when posting up boulders with potential access issues like this one. Neighbors have called the cops in the past and climbers have been directed by Lynn's finest to leave this area with guns drawn. Currently, we are only posting up problems, (boulders) that can be accessed from the main parking lot...hence no access issues. Furthermore, that boulder is incorrectly named. That boulder is the Boxcar Boulder...named more than 8 years ago and all of the problem nam... more >>

Comments: A full-sit to this problem that goes at V7 was recently sent. Start with a low left crimp (sidepull) and the slopey, right rim (below the cave-like feature you use for the squat start) and sparse feet. Make a huge move to the sloper, lock off, and finish as for the V5 version.
