Comments: Not sure if Ty (the one posting above, not the OP) is thinking of the same route... I have always climbed the route and easily lowered/ran TR laps with a 70m rope and maybe even a 60. Maybe not 70, but most certainly not 135 feet. No need for 2 ropes.

Comments: Priceless! Beautiful RRG-esque jugs out the roof to a surprise.

Comments: Totally fantastic. You pull a tough move or two, get a rest, then glance up and see there's still a TON to go! Mega. Might want to watch it if lowering with a 60m.

Comments: Classic climbing. Atypical movement for a lot of Tensleep areas, but I guess that's the name of the game at Shinto. Awesome wall.

Comments: Does anyone know if you can use a 70m to TR/rap this route? I can't remember...

Comments: One of my least favorite 11s at Tensleep... but still really good!

Comments: Really fun, but not as good as Crazy Wynona or Slightly Toasted Cracker IMO. Maybe it's just because it doesn't have as much chalk on it :). Pretty hard move @ second bolt, maybe a hold broke? Felt significantly harder than anything on both of the aforementioned routes (both rated harder).

Comments: Continuously steep. Beautiful pocket pulling, great roof pull, and some airy stemming up high. One of my favorite 11s in Tensleep.

Comments: This section of wall made me laugh. You can finish this climb after four bolts about 30' up (really?), or continue to another two bolt anchor 20' higher or ANOTHER two bolt anchor 20' after that! Two stars if you go to the top of the flake (and why wouldn't you?).

Comments: Really fun wraparound pockets. Good warmup. Crank a boulder problem then romp up easy terrain.

Comments: Outstanding, fantastic! One of my favorites in the Canyon. Definitely not 12a though (maybe in the Red).

Comments: Fantastic, incredible moves. Must do.
I actually thought the crux was the opening moves. Maybe I didn't catch the right nubbins, but I found it damn hard, much harder than any of the moves in the overhanging terrain above.

Comments: Super fun pitch on its own, and it also serves as the main approach for Kabooki Direct, a fantastic mixed climb.

Comments: You can get away climbing there (especially s facing stuff like the durrance, which is in the sun much of the day) pretty early and late in the season, including choice winter days.

Comments: That would be a gnarly freesolo Bowman! Was it onsight? Those moves over the roof felt a bit awkward!

Comments: This area should be on the short list for any regional climbers. I climbed on the Trailside Wall yesterday for the first time in 8 years and had an absolute blast. Bowman did a great job bolting, cleaning, and picking choice lines.

Comments: Outstanding climbing. Certainly on par with any Tensleep route I've climbed, as are the 3 routes to its right. The blessing & curse is that it doesn't get as much traffic as Tensleep and thus some of the pockets and edges can accumulate some dust/other detritus...
Still, this wall kicks ass.
