Comments: Is The Overlook currently open? Did the area get burned by the slide fire or was it spared? Any info would really be appreciated. Thanks!

Comments: Did this today, and was amazed at how little traffic it appears to get (there was no chalk other than mine and my partner's on this route). The trad section at the bottom goes at 5.9 and takes great gear. The upper section is well bolted and the crux is done with a bolt at your knees. It is a fun climb!

There are no chains at the top bolts. I left two old (but perfectly safe) carabiners on the anchor bolts. Please, either leave the bolts or add some chains to the anchors.

Comments: I thought that this was a much better climb than Hidden Splendor. We did 6 routes at the At the Glitter Box area, and to me this was the best. The chimney and stem moves at the bottom were a lot of fun.

Comments: Fun, varied and moderate climbing on a cool desert massif. The exposure and views from this route are amazing. The only issue, and imho it is a big issue, is the rock quality. The rock is chossy, flakey, crumbly and generally just shitty. I don't think that this route will improve with time; the choss factor will remain. On better rock, I would give this route 3 stars. As it is, it gets 1.5. I don't regret doing it, but can't see myself going back.

Comments: Today was my first trip to Lower Devils, and this was my fist route in the area. Both the route and the area are amazing. I cannot wait to return.

Comments: This is a great route with easily protected crux. There are tons of gear options throughout the climb. I thought it was just as good as EGG and DEH, just a little harder.

Comments: I added this route after doing it yesterday and not finding it in the database. I found getting established in the stem box under the roof and working myself out of it to be the crux. I thought the opening moves were burly and committing, but the protection was abundant. IMHO, this is an awesome route. It is harder than EGG and DEH, but just as good if not better than those classics. It was dirty when we did it, and did not appear to have seen many ascents. Considering the quality of this ... more >>

Comments: This climb is a blast. Fun, diverse climbing with great pro leads to an amazing summit. HOWEVER, 5.3?!?! Seriously?!?! IMHO, that is a giant sandbag. I am not going to suggest another rating, but it didn't seem like 5.3 to me.

Comments: AMAZING! I went there for the first time on 10/19 and was totally blown away. This is a truly special and amazing place to climb. There was a few feet of water in the middle of the stream, but there were dry spots in front of all the climbs we wanted to do.

The driving and approach directions are clear enough, and it is easy to find the obvious trad lines like King Snake and Dark Star once you are in the canyon. After that, identifying most of the routes is easy. It took us a little bit lo... more >>
