Comments: Short and fun problem. Almost always overlooked due to its height. Fun warm up for the area that I assure is a LITTLE harder than it looks.

Comments: Choss! According to most people you have Colorado, Wyoming and Devils lake WI. There isn't anything in between just flat prairie lands.

Comments: Anyone know who bolted and what the name of the "new" line is. It follows up the old 5.10 TR arÍte and The Joker.

Comments: IMHO this route is one if not the best for the grade in this area. Don't let the grade fool you this is a very exposed climb with beautiful rose quartz holds. Definitely bring Alpine draws as the route tends to zig zag. Couple of thin moves and a few thinker moves between I believe bolts 4-5? You can either use 2 ropes to rap or 1 70m. If you only have a 60m you can climb to the notch anchor and then rap off the opposite side (east). Or you can rap down to Bards anchors and then rap off those.

Comments: The rock quality is high quality and the moves on this are what any boulderer dreams of IMHO.

Comments: IMHO I completely agree with Hirsch on the star quality it's going to feel V4/5 the first time on it especially the amazing commiting throw at the top. Great problem indeed!

Comments: Crux comes at the 3rd bolt. I used a right heel hook on the small protruding flake before the bulge. Reachy Holds gets you through the bulge and then climber "thinker" easier terrain to the top. The anchor should probably be rappelled. Its in a funky spot for a TR or lowering IMHO. Good route!

Comments: Did you redpoint? To my knowledge and experience with this route. Some of the stronger climbers in the area have agreed this is one of the harder climbs. This route packs a punch you will be hurting. Its long and fairly sustained to the top. Congrats if you redpointed! Grade? I have heard a few numbers thrown around. :)

Comments: I believe he climbed the 5.8 gill route in the video. Which is the "standard Route" to the summit these days. It is the easiest and really more or less a high ball boulder problem with a crux down low to easier terrain up top. This picture of him on the summit with his rope down the infamous Gill 5.12 route which the video does not show him climbing. I agree that Free Soloing is dangerous. I just wanted to specify the comments are below a misleading picture. Hope this helps.

Comments: Annie the granite out here dries very fast. Its common for summer rain storms to move in for a brief moment and if you give it a couple of hours your back climbing. Looks like good weather ahead good luck!

Comments: not that I am aware of. I looked at it during this photo. It looked like a very hard steep line up top. I'm sure anyone reading this will have it up here in a week or so. ;)
