Comments:

Climbed both of the S Six Shooter summits last week. A cool tower, and nice wild feeling (compared to most Indian Creek cragging days).

It's true that not much gear is needed, just a handful of cams and a 60m rope for the rappel(s).

Comments: We are talking about the anchors at the top of Cig-Arete... the bolted arete climb.

Comments: I noticed the wobblers on Big Kahunas, Bubbas Weenie Way and on Pirate in Paradise (anchors). This trip, Big Kahunas stood out as a rather dangerous lead....

Comments: Thanks for the input, guys. I'm not looking for a debate, but am interested in what you think would be practical for upgrading a potentially dangerous fixed anchor. I completely appreciate not adding any additional anchors up in that zone, but I think 3/8" un-welded, un-equalized and loose cold shuts is the opposite of "proud".

Just wondering what you would like to see in terms of hardware up there? Yes, they will be painted.

Comments: There is a bolt anchor at the top of Mirror Crack that will land you back on the ledge with the large tree just barely with one 60m rope.

Comments: The roped tyrolean(s) are no longer in place (or I could not find them), but the high wire is still present.

Comments: Nice to see so many folks out climbing in Taylor lately!

Anyways, the 3-bolt non-welded cold shut anchor at the top of Cig-Arete is in a pretty bad state....

Do folks here have any suggestions for what they would like to see as a replacement? Fixe ring bolts? Chains? Keep as is? Add an anchor for Dunn's Dihedral to keep off the Cig anchor?

Comments: Some fun climbing in a really nice setting.

Many of the routes have some large/dangerous fall potential. Not to mention some loose, wobbly bolts as noted above. Many of the "wedge" bolts used have been glued over top, then have loosened over time....

I'm not sure one would be able to easily tighten many of them, with this glue on top. Maybe replacement would be appropriate. Despite the numerous moderate ratings, this is certainly not the place for learning to lead climb.

Comments: A nice line of steep cobble climbing, made dangerous by poorly positioned bolts. There are multiple places on this route where one would could be seriously injured in a fall. Between the 3rd and 4th bolt as well as 4th and 5th bolts....

Comments: Many new anchors appearing in the Taylor these days. Tourist Attraction, Sunshine Dihedral and one Between Awkward and Wide and Left Hand Mantel all have the same Faders hardware.... Anyone know where those three came from?

P.S. - not looking for a debate- just curious.

Comments: Variation: climb directly to the 2nd bolt via loose cracks avoiding the traverse.

Comments: Did the route yesterday. The new rap station is well placed and in an excellent location on a huge ledge and does not remove the "free hanging rappel" aspect. Used no stoppers and a double rack with single #3.
