Comments: God I love this place! The only problem is what the hell happened to it. It's like I move away and now the whole Golden Cliffs crowed has moved in. Funny story, I watched like ten different climbers get on TDD this weekend. They all lowered off and down graded it. Best part was not a single one sent the dam thing. No wonder grades are so out of WHACK! Everyone that has sent it, is pretty set on 12c, however, pulling on a draw must to make it soft for the grade.... LOL.

Comments: You're welcome for the photos. I have only climbed this route once this year, just moved home from Bama. Still a sick route. I love this one, so get on it, and the new gear beta should make this thing a bit safer. Hope the flake for the first bolt sticks around. Woo Wee....

Comments: I never met Michael, but when I was living in Southern Alabama bumming my ass off because the closest crag was 4-hours away, I would watch his videos and get so charged on his ropeless exploits. All my friends would come over and although none of theme even knew what rock climbing was they always wanted to see Michael Reardon dude. The guy just seems like he was full of energy with an amazing heart and had the ability to project that on all around him. He will be in my prayers.

Comments: I am glad to see the work done on this wall. I was working anarchy in the UK several years ago and I thought it was a pretty damm good route. I am sure it is much better now. I really appreciate the history on this wall. While I haven't lived in Colorado for almost two years now, I remember sending Power Trip as my first 12. When I was climbing at Anarchy I never really understood how much work went into putting up this place. Thank you. Out of all the walls in CCC and the country for that matte... more >>

Comments: This place is a total shit fest all topped off by the local young clansmen spray painting and destroying anything good this place has to offer. While the climbing is not that bad, it is just really hard to get over the total disrespect for one of the only cool places bama has to offer. AS for LRC that place is totally amazing and I understand why it is kept such a secret. Coming from Colorado I can say that place is ten stars.

Comments: Great route. For all those not sure about the [rating], try linking the last two pitches together, for very solid 12a. Also, very bad rope drag, otherwise not too bad.

Comments: I agree with Bob this route a great route but not worth the rating. However, maybe the people who put this route up rated it 11c/d to discourage people from climbing it. There are some fragile flakes up there. So for those people who man up to this route they get an ego boost, while other climbers who could easily onsight this are driven away by the rating. It is kind of a good ideal for preserving the route. However, like Abraham Lincoln said "you can fool some of the people some of the time, b... more >>

Comments: I was on this route several [months] ago and took a [wicked] fall at the crux. The way I was doing the route, was at the crux I had a really high right foot and got myself into a [lieback] to make the clip. Bear in mind my last [draw] was well below my feet. I took a fall and the rope [wrapped] around my leg slamming me into the wall upside down. It was a crazy ride. It was strange because at the time I was [circuiting routes] from right to left, and had climbed this route many times. Well, I gu... more >>

Comments: I am [curious], I don't really boulder much, and I almost flashed this problem today. It only took a few tries to send. However, the way I sent it involved a large dead point up to the [arete] to the left of the crimp. Avoiding the crimp all together. Does this count as a send. It felt pretty hard, but I don't know much about bouldering.

Comments: This is a sick route, but after two years of wanting to do I think in my case I just made it out to be more than it really was. I guess I just wish the roof was another 15 ft long. However, I would settle for 5ft, it is that much fun! You can't beat the exposure. Hanging from the jug before the lip of the roof, getting a shake. Look between your legs. All you see is an awsome line. An overhanging Dihedrial, filled with all sorts of cool gear, then your belayer hanging off some bolts. Below them ... more >>

Comments: I don't want to write what I think about the rating. However, it was a cool route. Last week I broke my finger by unintentially shooting a nail through it. I had to go to the hospital with a bad infection later that night. They performed surgery on my finger to clean it out, splinted it up and told me I would not be climbing for 6-8 weeks. Today exactly one week later without the splint I almost onsighted this with a stupid fall at the last bolt. I thought it was the 10c but soon realized my mis... more >>

Comments: As if anyone cares, but I recently replaced the Tyrol to get to Primo Wall. This morning while crossing it I found myself untangling a fishing line and lure from the rope. I think I should have put more thought into where I placed the tyrol. However, it is the first one I have ever put up, and it seemed like a good place for it. When you see fishermen doing there funky casts under the tyrol, just vibe them until they leave. Or let them know ahead of time about the overhead danger. Should none of... more >>

Comments: I sent this route today, and what a great route. It might be one of the best CCC routs that I have ever done. I have to agree with Chris. This is probly the only legit 12c in the canyon. Thats for a tall person. For anyone under 5'8" this route would be much harder. I really hate to put a grade on thing, but for the sake of the short people, not myself 12c/d. Get on it it is good.

Comments: Has anyone ever noticed that lots of hard routes have a crux that involve a right hand gaston? Just a question. Question is ac one person who really dosen't like my words of wisdom, or is it a whole gang like the bloods?

Comments: This is one of my all [time] favorite Eldo [routes]. I usually climb this as a warm up route first thing in the morning. The moves right off the ground are [awesome], somthing like 9+ or 10-. Then you get into the meat of the climb the moves don't get any better, for a first route of the day. I feel that for a short person it could hold a solid grade of 11c, but for a tall person like myself, [barely] 11b. That is [probably] why the grade stands [where] it is. Well good luck to all who try this ... more >>

Comments: What the hell. I did this route this morning and I don't know what to say. I really wish that I had have brought a rack. Without a set of cams this thing makes some routs in Eldo look like a joke. With some gear the route would probably be just fine. Felt a little hard for 9+, but that might have been the 13a before we climbed this route. Aside from all my griping, this really is a sick route. Mad props to Darren. I recommend it and a rack. I also recommend the rappel, it is worth it. Woooooo We... more >>

Comments: [I don't know if anyone cares, but there is a knee bar with a no hands rest about half way up the lieback to the A-frame roof. It takes some courage, because you're above a shiesty pin, but a good way to rest for that move on to the face. Also, your friends will think you're cool hanging sideways on your knee....]

Comments: [Sick route. The third pitch is kick ass. It reminds me a lot of the Yellow Spur. The 4th pitch is strange. Big moves to not so good holds. Either the 11d is easier than 11d, or the 12a is sandbagged. I'll let you be the judge. It just felt stiff for 12a. Also, if more people climbed this route, there wouldn't be as much traffic in the canyon. Major loose rock on the last pitch. However, the rest are pretty clean. Give this thing a try. Major air. If this route were in Eldo, it woul... more >>

Comments: Who cares about the chains it dosen't seem to bother anyone except you guys. I got a great ideal: if someone replaces the last two bolts on the Great Escape I'll paint the chains brown. I think safty should be more of an isue than the chains, that for the most part only the climbers that go to that wall can see. If anyone has seen the last two bolts on the Great Escape they know what I am talking about. The second to last bolt, the hanger looks like it is about to pull over the bolt head, and i... more >>
