Location: CO : Golden : Clear Creek Canyon : Wall of the '90s : Ten-Digit Dialing (5.12c) By: micah stocker When: Oct 7, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: God I love this place! The only problem is what the hell happened to it. It's like I move away and now the whole Golden Cliffs crowed has moved in. Funny story, I watched like ten different climbers get on TDD this weekend. They all lowered off and down graded it. Best part was not a single one sent the dam thing. No wonder grades are so out of WHACK! Everyone that has sent it, is pretty set on 12c, however, pulling on a draw must to make it soft for the grade.... LOL.

I have only climbed this route once this year, just moved home from Bama. Still a sick route. I love this one, so get on it, and the new gear beta should make this thing a bit safer. Hope the flake for the first bolt sticks around. Woo Wee....

Location: CO : Michael Reardon missing in ... By: micah stocker When: Jul 17, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: I never met Michael, but when I was living in Southern Alabama bumming my ass off because the closest crag was 4-hours away, I would watch his videos and get so charged on his ropeless exploits. All my friends would come over and although none of theme even knew what rock climbing was they always wanted to see Michael Reardon dude. The guy just seems like he was full of energy with an amazing heart and had the ability to project that on all around him. He will be in my prayers. Micah

Location: CO : Golden : Clear Creek Canyon : Anarchy Wall By: micah stocker When: May 16, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: I am glad to see the work done on this wall. I was working anarchy in the UK several years ago and I thought it was a pretty damm good route. I am sure it is much better now. I really appreciate the history on this wall. While I haven't lived in Colorado for almost two years now, I remember sending Power Trip as my first 12. When I was climbing at Anarchy I never really understood how much work went into putting up this place. Thank you. Out of all the walls in CCC and the country for that matte... more >>

Location: AL : Sand Rock By: micah stocker When: May 11, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: This place is a total shit fest all topped off by the local young clansmen spray painting and destroying anything good this place has to offer. While the climbing is not that bad, it is just really hard to get over the total disrespect for one of the only cool places bama has to offer. AS for LRC that place is totally amazing and I understand why it is kept such a secret. Coming from Colorado I can say that place is ten stars.

Location: CO : Golden : Clear Creek Canyon : Creek Side : Solid Gold (5.12a) By: micah stocker When: Aug 31, 2005 | view comment >> | Comments: Great route. For all those not sure about the [rating], try linking the last two pitches together, for very solid 12a. Also, very bad rope drag, otherwise not too bad.

Location: CO : Golden : Clear Creek Canyon : Wall of the '90s : Curvaceous (5.11c/d) By: micah stocker When: Nov 12, 2004 | view comment >> | Comments: I agree with Bob this route a great route but not worth the rating. However, maybe the people who put this route up rated it 11c/d to discourage people from climbing it. There are some fragile flakes up there. So for those people who man up to this route they get an ego boost, while other climbers who could easily onsight this are driven away by the rating. It is kind of a good ideal for preserving the route. However, like Abraham Lincoln said "you can fool some of the people some of the time, b... more >>

Location: CO : Golden : Clear Creek Canyon : Little Eiger : Eiger Direct (5.11d) By: micah stocker When: Nov 2, 2004 | view comment >> | Comments: I was on this route several [months] ago and took a [wicked] fall at the crux. The way I was doing the route, was at the crux I had a really high right foot and got myself into a [lieback] to make the clip. Bear in mind my last [draw] was well below my feet. I took a fall and the rope [wrapped] around my leg slamming me into the wall upside down. It was a crazy ride. It was strange because at the time I was [circuiting routes] from right to left, and had climbed this route many times. Well, I gu... more >>
