Comments: Benjamin, I think I submitted the description back a long time ago when it was climbingboulder.com. Rather than waste a "lot of cyberspace" with a bunch of aqueduct leaks, I entered one "route" with a WI2 and this info in the description as (L->R):

"1. Short WI2-3 flow; 2. M5 TR line with crux finish; 3. WI4 fat ice curtain; 4. WI5- R edge of curtain with traverse to small tongue of ice; 5. WI4- thin ice; 6. WI4 ice ri... more >>

Comments: Scott, I know you are well-intentioned, but I am far from a bolting expert. I only know one of the folks that bolted those lowest routes at Pulpit. We plan to clean up some of the studs you mentioned. BTW, I have checked at Home Depot, and they don't have hand drills or any knowledge about hand drilling. Plus, don't they carry those cheap Redhead bolts that climbers diss?

Comments: There is a downed tree that bridges the creek at the west end of Creek Side...just in case you want to try to avoid the wading during low water this winter.

Comments: FWIW, it may be 5+ people & 2-3 parties that bolted these lines. I haven't figured out where the left line, Griff-Orama, goes exactly, but it may have a trad start out to the left. One of the challenges is that this area require hand drilling, sometimes leading to spinning Rawl 5 piece bolts.

Comments: Tony, you are probably right, but the description for 666 wasn't quite matching, though we figured we were pretty close...hence the name...667...pretty close to 666. It was easier than 5.6. Plus, it might have been a first first for Nate. Cheek puffing with the tongue.

Wayne wrote that he did an OW 2nd pitch that he thought had been done previously.

Comments: The rappel down the West face is off of an old #10 hex & big tricam with an old, faded sling with 2 rings, an old, faded sling, and a bit of rope. The pieces really don't fit the crack ideally, but they are adequate. Pull down and not up. You rappel down a crack on the West Face, which may be the "North Face" 5.7 crack, but it may not be.

Comments: Some of the anchors on this crag are set in rock that might be subject to fracture with the wrong sequence of events. These are set in bulging rock that could fracture with freeze thaw cycles and/or micro-cracks in the rock. Please look carefully at these before trusting them without backing them up.
