Started climbing in California in the early 90's, one of the earlier gym rats as I did not have a drivers license. Started climbing outdoors through some high school programs and started to explore with a friend, we are really lucky in hind sight that neither of us got seriously injured. Went to college in CO for the climbing and have since moved to NM. I've climbed all over the SW US and a few places out east as well as France, Spain, Australia and Japan.
I enjoy sport, traditional climbing and bouldering and have dabbled in ice and mixed but dislike the idea of mountaineering. It is the technical challenge that draws me and as the challenge builds in the mountains so does the chance of bad things happening. |
