Comments: Nope! I definitely jumped the gun on the new route (sorry) as I thought it could be led. Appears to be a nice new addition. However, I do still feel that community consensus is always a good policy especially when access can be an issue (not saying it is here). As for swiss, it's hard to argue against safety. I am still not sure another bolt was needed but if people are for it and it encourages more people to get on it then it will be a nice addition.

Comments: I also wish you would have started a conversation here before taking this irreversible action. My guess is community consensus would have been overwhelmingly against the alteration of either of these climbs. In my opinion Swiss Cheese was a perfectly safe climb and I fail to see how adding an additional bolt helps anything. Additionally the person who bolted this route is extremely safety conscious and felt there was no need for a lower bolt. As for the other route, if is has been led on gear no... more >>

Comments: Sweaty you love phallic anything. I am so mad that there is no climbing in this pic that I am probably going to quit MP...maybe even climbing all together.

Comments: It's hard to argue against decreased impact and increased safety. However, I also felt the hooks were safe and lowered off of them many times.

I am glad to hear that the situation has been remedied. Route work is serious business and as I have stated I have no clue who put those in and what their level of expertise is. While I am sure you are competent Joe, I also have no idea who you are and if you have the "proper guidance." It is critical for every climber to inspect the gear they will be ... more >>

Comments: Or you could paint them if it bothers you that much. While I did not install them I am very appreciative of the people who are willing to donate their time and money to improve a local crag.

Comments: I wouldn't waste your time Nic. While fun, these are probably not worth the drive and the quality of the lime stone is low at best.

Comments: Yes it is frequently dry. Please do not climb any of the problems at GD if it is wet (or damp). Many holds have broken already and I would hate to see some of the less bomber holds (like the start holds on this climb) break.
