Comments: I appreciate your comments, guys. I didn't realize fisheye lens makes skies so dramatic (although, because of the bulging front, you can't add polarizer to it).

Comments: I was not making fun. You can't quite tell it'sa top rope. I looked at the pic and seriously thought "damn, he led this!!". Followed by "wait a minute, where's the gear??".

Like Burt said: 20 (at least) bouldering pads and pillows, numerous climbing helmets placed on key body parts, and a deployable baloon.

Comments: Quite heady. Falling at the crux would definitely mean extended hospital stay (not to mention destroyed polo). And that assuming the manky Alien held. Definitely one of the craziest FFA's I've witnessed. Isaac, Henning -- you guys got my respect for sure. Nough said.

Comments: Low 80's and likely not as humid. Palisade rocks in July! (and in all other 11 months of the year).

Comments: Hi yak, I appreciate your concerns but I am against censorship at Mountain Project (besides the obvious: obscenities, etc.). This photo shows someone who was more scrambling around than climbing in the park -- Chris happened to walk by and snap the picture. If you go to Goosberry on the busy weekend, you'll see plenty of tourists walking/scrambling on the ledgy rocks by the falls. I don't know the guy in the picture but he is hardly a climber (basketball shoes, no chalkbag, no harness).

Comments: The chunk is still there. Looking at it (with its sharp edges) it has always been difficult to imagine nobody got hurt!

Comments: Why don't you come up for some climbing then? It's only a 3hr drive from where you are and there's Harbour Bar as a bonus.

Comments: Ryan, back in the day, you mean even before 90's and 80's ? I'd also suggest this debate is kept between climbers only -- without involving the park officials.

Comments: Hi Zach, see here, here, here, here, here, and here (think I'm running out of "here"'s ? :)). Or check out this great picture featured in Climbing. This issue, keeps coming back like a vampire. I would like to caution that debating this self-imposed rule should be kept entirely within the climbing community.

Comments: This is a surprisingly good route with decent moves and very little traffic (because of the trad start). In my opinion maybe slightly harder overall than Jump Start and definitely more consistent.

Comments: Sorry BBourgeois, but I disagree. As much as I do appreciate replacing the crappy anchors, I still think the choice of the new anchor location is pretty poor given the ledge directly below it. I also won't bring the hammer to modify one of the best routes at RW to accommodate the arbitrary anchor placement. With time though, and enough people being lowered, a groove will probably form in the rock and there won't be a problem. Slow lowering may be sufficient to avoid the risk of rope damage. Comments: Hey Burt -- thanks for the comment!

From the road we saw two guys climb the flow to the left (Quarry Monster?). There were two thinner flows to the right that looked little thinner than in your picture from last year. Not quite in (?). Next time we're there, I'd definitely like to walk in to check them out.

Comments: This is an amazing shot, Andy. Did you have it printed in the poster format? Sure looks that way.
